Good luck with the job!!! =) Well, I don't know if I ever mentioned it but for about two years my health really sucked. I had horrible headaches 25+ days out of the month for starters. I was getting nauseous every time I ate so I just plain quit eating because the only time my stomach didn't feel sick was when it was empty. I lost 17 pounds. I also had ridiculously bad heartburn almost every day which kept me up all night long for at least four nights per week. I was a wreck. Over those two years I visited approximately six medical doctors including specialists down at the University of Minnesota -- all of which told me I was fine. Blood work was all perfect and nothing could be found. Unfortunately, I was still feeling very sick and they didn't know what to do to help me. At this point I was planning my funeral because I was sure I was dying... I felt that icky all the time. My last resort was to see a Maximized Living Chiropractor. (Key words there being "Maximized Living". They are much better than your average Chiropractor and in Minnesota you actually have to be a doctor to be a chiropractor.) He took x-rays and did a computerized spine test and we found that my spine was way out of alignment. He rattled off symptom after symptom that I would most likely be suffering from due to where my back and neck were messed up and they were all identical to what I was experiencing. Anyway, to make an already too long story shorter, after only one week of adjustments my headaches were non-existent. After about three weeks I started to be able to eat and not feel sick. I put back on some of the weight I lost and I'm right where I should be now. I'm feeling almost 100% and I've been going to see him for just under five months. Now for the details about the job. My Chiropractor offered me a job as a Chiropractic Assistant. The money is good, the hours are good, I get free Chiropractic care for my entire family, a free gym membership and bonuses every month. I absolutely LOVE the job and look forward to going every day. What more could I ask for? =)

Posts: 4 (08/30/08 02:03:24) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I think it's most appropriate that I'm one of the last ones to come and post here.. since I pretty much have been one of the LAST ones that have been here when noone else was. lol Kind of like talking to the walls, and my own little hang out. hehehe.. but anyway, I did get the e-mail and I was like, huh? I don't know how to log into that yuku! (I have to re-set the password every time) I also got busy, and kind of forgot about it. But now I'm sorry I did, after reading how everyone is doing. It's good to see everyone alright.. as I have wondered about everyone. You never know when one of us is going to be writing out our "bucket list" and no longer here. Hopefully that's not the case, of course. So, anyway.. what's new with me.. well.. My family has moved out of seattle after over 40+ years, and my parents sold thier house and made gazillions. I miss seattle, but we kind of are enjoying all the fun of buying toys! hehehe..They bought a brand new house and furnishings, a new truck, and then one of those rockin' rock star motorhomes! It is absolutely fabulous! My co-workers think that they are Robert Deniro and the wife in "Meet the Parents" with that thing. lol So, anyway.. I have went on a few little trips with them. But when they take thier big trips, I'm going to fly down and stay with them at thier resorts they go to. I told them, I'll be visiting for Rob Thomas/Matchbox Concerts and the carribean! lol oh and mom is going to take us all to the Olympics in Vancouver 2010 with it. So, now I pretty much go visit my parents on the same penninsula as I am, which is kind of cool too, as it's not as bad traffic and very scenic up in the mountains. Oh, and yes.. I'm still stalking Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty. I've got loads of pictures of me and the band, and autographs and memorbilla. The group that goes to all the seattle, portland, canada trips are a pretty tight knit group.. so we all get together and have dinner and drinks and then go to the "right place at the right time" and find Rob and the gang..which we usually do and get pics and meet and greet. I am still working for the Fed's. Teaching..I have been voted in as labor management with our AFT union. So, I have to work on that stuff during the year. I have been on summer break, and soon will return to the real world soon enough. I still am winning big prizes, and each week I win something. In 2006, I won a 10,000 prize, VIP all access pass to the concerts series and a video IPOD. Last year, I won 2500 in cash and prizes, and this year it's been about 950 in cash and prizes. I just won two tickets to dave mathews yesterday, actually. So, the winning continues! I think I'm lucky, because I'm a nice girl..hehehe and so many bad things happened in my life, it's about time for good things to happen! Let's see, what else.. I am still single.. and you know what? I LOVE it!!!!!!!!! You wouldn't believe how much fun it is.. NOT having the stress of a relationship, and worries and all that. Actually, I've kind of got myself into some trouble lately at the work out club. There's these two doctors that are totally after me! lol They flirt with me on different nights, when the other isn't there! hahaha.. it's kind of funny and makes the work out.. more entertaining! If you know what I mean.. one used to be my doctor, but I got all healed by him...hehehe..and Carla, if you're wondering whatever happened to Rob.. well, he's still around.. and he's been in the same places as me in canada and seattle, and we still have never met. lol He actually does want to marry me. But maybe we'll just be good friends and write letters to each other all our lives. I went to a Rob concert, and he stared at me all night long during the concert. He was like on the other side of the row from me..but never came over.. the loser! lol I told him he has to approach me and ask me out, if he wants to get with me baby! I have lost 50lbs so far from last march and 30 of that was in the last two months, and I am on a triathalon work out plan that's helping me lose even more. I work out for 4-5 hours a day of wieghts, machines, mountain biking, swimming laps and various aerobics and zumba. I won't be able to do that of course when I go back to work. But I'm going to try and keep at it in the evenings. I already have to go buy a bunch of new clothes.. but that's alright, because I needed new school clothes anyway. I've also been watching a lot of WEEDS and Entourage this summer! I got a new laptop and high speed, and so I am able to download the episodes. I LOVE that! I didn't really take too many trips this year, because I have have other stuff going on..like my mom retiring and I helped her move completely over to the new house. I also went to college that my work sends me to every year. Earlier this year, I had to put Kelsey to sleep, and it was the most awful thing I had to do in my life. But he got senile dementia and it really was his time. I still have Bella and she's beautiful. It took us both a long time to get over not having Kelsey around, but we're doing alright. We go walking every day on moon island and watch the sunset over the pacific. It's actually beautiful there, and you can hear the waves and the shorebirds, and hardly anyone is around.. except a few other dog owners. Oh, and I went to my 20 year reunion and had a EYE OPENER!! All the guys were bald and looked like Larry the cable guy, and all the women had bad dye jobs, red straight soccer mom hairdo's. lol Which those same mom's all went to college, got married and now are stay at home mom's with no jobs! hehehe.. as my friend put it lightly. Here's what was the eye opener. All the people that didn't go to college, went and did something interesting in life and were the MOST successful! This one guy was such a stoner and he now lives in the upper west side of manhatten and owns a string of businesses. Another one owns a bunch of coffee shops in brooklyn. (Also another stoner) lol Anyway, it was pretty cool seeing them all and how they all changed! I even saw a few of my high school crushes.. which now are all on my FACEBOOK.. thank you god! It's like being back in school again, except THIS time.. I'm the cool girl! lol At least these guys didn't turn out to be the larry the cable guys! yay;) and finally for the best thing EVER EVER EVER... yes.. be shocked.. I will be turning the big 40!!!!!! on November 6th, 2008! and I will be having my party on November 10th, at the Top of the World restaurant. My entourage and I will all be there. You're all invited if you are down there! Oh, and we'll be going to see "the thunder down under" as well! hehehe.. Yes, I'm off to Vegas to have the time of my life. I'll be at the Mandalay Bay and I'm going to party like a rock star! Viva Las Vegas! btw.. carla you and your family look great! and Jen.. those are beautiful wedding shots. I know you were one of the lone rangers here for a while when it was REALLY quiet. Congrats on loosing weight, enjoying some fruits of selling the family business, and getting to do some travelling! Wow Carla, you have been through hell girl! To think that a chiropractor held the answer to making you better too. You need to share some of your partying-with-Rob-Thomas pictures. Were you as excited as I was when Matchbox 20 got back together?! TAE... Yeah, who would have thought!? They do get a bad rap but I think there are a lot of crappy chiropractors out there that ruin it for the good ones that really know their stuff. The lives I see changing for the better in that office is amazing. There are so many people that have wonderful recovery stories similar to mine -- and to watch them go from miserable to having their life back makes me love the job even more.

I was trying to find another old board off of ezboard when I thought I'd pop in here. Didn't know ez bit the dust, either, so never got the email notice. Haven't frequented much of any of the old boards I used to. Don't seem to have the time anymore. Still in Texas for the time being, my girls are in the 10th grade so have 3 more years to go. Met a gal on myspace almost 2 years ago, and went and met her in person last January. In Russia. Have all the paperwork filed and approved, and she has her interview later this month. Once that's done, she will be over here by mid Oct to early Nov and we'll get married sometime after that. We have 90 days once she set's foot in the states, so no idea when we will actually tie the knot. I run the service dept for the electrical company I work for, so stay pretty busy since I'm the only service guy we have. Plan on moving back to Arkansas once my girls graduate, I miss the clear creeks and such. Grats to everyone on all the great things going on in their lives. Nice to read about ya'll and see the pretty girls once again. Tunes that run through my head.

We still haven't heard anything back about his next interview and it's been 9 months. I know they are backed up, but Eric is really suffering without him here. He broke down into a crying fit yesterday..sigh. Anyway..school is going great. I'm having a hard time sometimes with motivation, but I'm working through it hehe. Also, I'm playing a game called Perfect World right now that is beautiful. It started out as a Chinese game (I might be wrong, it could have been Japanese). It's kind of a cross between Lineage II and WoW. I don't play 24/7 because of school and kids but I've had a lot of fun in the time I have played.
